Home / Platform / Digital broker engine

This is a broking capability, not a comparison widget.

Built on FCB.ai, the engine takes a household from identification to a bound policy and then carries it through adjustment, renewal and claim — under the partner’s brand, on the partner’s panel.

In build Motor journey in pilot with a single panel.

End to end

  1. Identify and consent

Household identity, permissions asked individually and in context, and a consent record that travels with every downstream action.

  2. Capture and enrich

Vault data, household profile, vehicle and property details, driving score. The question set is minimised against what is already known rather than asked again.

  3. Quote

The panel is called through the quote rail. Results are returned with reason codes, compared against the household’s current premium, and presented with three exits on every screen.

  4. Sell

Digital completion and payment where the household is ready. Where it stalls, the omnichannel contact centre picks it up with full context.

  5. Issue

Policy issuance and document delivery into the vault, so the new policy immediately becomes part of the household record and its renewal date joins the diary.

  6. Service and renew

Mid-term adjustment, renewal through the six-outcome engine, and handoff into claims or assistance when an event occurs.

The renewal engine

Every renewal event resolves to one of six outcomes. The outcome, its reasoning and its evidence are written to a Renewal Event Object — the architectural audit trail behind the primary KPI.

Renew

Cover remains appropriate and competitive. The concierge confirms rather than disturbs.

Switch

A materially better option exists on the panel. Reason-coded, with the difference shown.

Improve

Same insurer, better cover. A gap in the existing policy closes at renewal.

Add

An uncovered exposure identified by the vault. A new line enters the household.

Consolidate

Multiple policies brought together for cover coherence and a household-level price.

No action

A legitimate outcome, recorded as deliberately as any other. Not every renewal should be disturbed.

Why the KPI is renewal events controlled, not policies sold. A partner that touches every renewal event in a household — even to confirm no action — owns the relationship. Policies follow. The reverse does not hold.

Quick quote, honestly described

“Quick” means a specific number of questions and a specific elapsed time, and those numbers differ by line. Where the vault is populated, most of the question set is already answered and the household is confirming rather than declaring.

What the partner supplies

Product and panel data. Rating access or a quote API. Underwriting rules. Document templates. Binding authority. Compliance sign-off. Agent or contact centre resource. Assistance network integration where relevant.

Integration requirements and timeline

Size it against your own panel.

The engine is only as good as the panel behind it. Bring yours and we will map the integration.
